Delfin's Dog Friendly Holidays - very dog friendly holiday accommodation on the Kent Coast
ST MARGARETS AT CLIFFE

St Margarets at Cliffe sits high above the White Cliffs of Dover, offering fantastic views over the English Channel  to France.   It is a very pretty, historic place that was once a fishing village and very well known for smuggling.  During WWII, it was part of hell fire corner and evacuated of civilians and replaced by military personnel.   Sir Peter Ustinov was stationed here during the war. If you are interested in military history, there is plenty to keep you occupied in and around Dover from WW1 and WWII.

St Margarets Bay, a 10 minute walk down the hill, is a beautiful secluded spot with a great pub/restaurant overlooking the sea.  Noel Coward and Ian Flemming both owned a house in the Bay.

The Pine Gardens offer 6 acres of beautiful organic parkland and secluded gardens, overlooking the bay.

From St Margarets you can walk along the coastal path on the White Cliffs of Dover through to Kingsdown, Walmer and finally Deal, a lovely little coastal town.

The cottage is situated on a lovely old street with pretty cottages and a lovely duck pond, yet it's only a few minutes walk to the high street with a choice of pubs and tea rooms and a great restuarant serving local produce.
