DELFIN'S VERY DOG FRIENDLY SELF CATERING HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION
Delfin my spanish galgo loves going on holiday and thinks all dogs should be able to have holidays by the sea, where they will be made very welcome and where they can relax and have fun during the day and cuddle up on the sofa at night.
There are still very few holiday cottages where you are made to feel very welcome with your hounds, which is disappointing to find out once you have arrived. Even fewer allow more than 2 dogs, and most charge per pet per week. As we have 4 dogs ourselves, we understand the problems people when they want to take their canine family with them on holiday. We are not only dog lovers but we run a Greyhound Rescue, which will be supported by some of the profits made from the cottage. How fantastic to have a holiday with your hounds, whilst helping those hounds in rescue, who have not even got a home of their own, never mind think of having a holiday.
100% of the initial rental income up to around £5000, was donated to Kent Greyhound Rescue to enable them to buy a van, suitable for transporting greyhounds and lurchers from unsafe situations, down to Kent for rehoming.
Myrtle Cottage is very dog friendly accommodation, with a large secure garden and excellent walks along the White Cliffs of Dover just minutes from the cottage. Most of the land is owned by the National Trust and the views are breathtaking.
St Margarets at Cliffe is an historic village set high above the white cliffes, with fabulous views over to France. A 10 minute walk down a winding path brings you to St Margarets Bay. For a small village, it has 4 pubs, plenty of tearooms and a excellent restaurant, all of which are very near the cottage. It really is the most perfect location for a holiday.
